Reducing Shame Therapy Group for Christians with Same-sex Attractions

You might be experiencing SHAME.


Reducing Shame Therapy Group is designed as a safe place for 

you to work through shame related to your sexual identity. 

  • You’ll learn to identify shame as soon as it’s happening.
  • You’ll learn skills that help reduce the horrible feeling that comes with shame.
  • You’ll learn how your relationship with God can reduce feelings of shame.
  • You’ll be with others who experience very similar feelings.

The Reducing Shame Therapy Group will be led by Mark Yarhouse, Psy.D. and Veronica Johnson, MA of the Institute for the Study of Sexual Identity (www.sexualidentityinstitute.org).  This group is a research study and if you participate, you will be asked to complete questionnaires related to your experience of shame.
